ALTERNATIVE FUNDING SOURCES

The Internet provides a comprehensive source for funding resources. The two Web sites listed below contain links to many public and private funding sources. You can also utilize the search key, by typing in Grant-making Foundations, and then select the area you want searched (Arts, Science, Education, etc.).

When the first screen comes up, click on Students at the bottom right-hand side. This will get you into the free student search area, listing scholarships, fellowships, and internships for both undergraduate and graduate level students.

Maintained by the Society of Research Administrators, this site offers links to government, private and other general funding resources.

Davidson Library has a large collection of funding directories, most of them located in the Main Reference Department on the first floor. Other directories can be found in the Science and Engineering Library (2nd floor, north); Government Publications Department (1st floor north) and in the Arts Library (located in the Music Building).
