PURPOSE
The Undergraduate Research Colloquium (a poster exhibition only) recognizes
the scholarly achievements of students and acknowledges the faculty who have
contributed to the development of student research and creative projects.
ELIGIBILITY
Undergraduates at any level who are enrolled at UCSB at the time of the colloquium
will be considered. The work to be presented may be a completed or ongoing project.
It is expected that all recipients of undergraduate research awards from the
Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URCA) Office will present at
this event.
ENTRY AND SELECTION PROCEDURES
An entry form and an abstract prepared according to the instructions are required.
Deadline for submission of entry and abstract forms is April 9, 2008.We
will attempt to accept all applicants; however, if we can't accommodate everyone,
a faculty panel will select participants. The Colloquium date is Thursday, May
15. Subject to their class schedule, presenters are expected to attend the entire
session, 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Presenters are encouraged to invite their faculty
mentors, family and friends. All members of the UCSB community will also be
invited to attend.
