Boston University	Three letters of recommendation are required. One from applicants dental advisor and two from academic faculty or dental professionals.

Columbia University	Three letters from science professor or one from pre-health committee additional objective letters will be accpeted.

Harvard	One letter from pre-dental commit or three from science professor/employer/dentist.
Howard University	Three letters required from science instructors/objective sources.
Indiana University	Three required and one optional if desired.

Marquette University	Two from science professors and one personal.
Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry	Three required-one from predental commit, one from family dentist, one professor.
Medical University of South Carolina	Three letters from science professor or one from pre-health committee.

Midwestern University	Three letters required-one from predental committee/two from other health professionals
New York University	One pre-health committee letter or three from faculty (two must be science)

Ohio State University	One from science professor and one from objective source.
Oregon Health & Science University	Three from science professor and one from a dentist.
Southern Illinois University	One evaluation from a pre-dental or pre-professional committee or two letters from course instructors in the areas of bio-physics, engineering and one additional letter form a course instructor of the applicants choosing. You may submit character references.
Stony Brook University	A pre-professor advisory committee letter or three letters from science professor.

Texas A&M University	www.bcd.tamhsc.edu.
Tufts University	One from pre-dental commit (or one from biology and one from chemistry/physics or math) and one from dentist observed.
UCLA	Three letters minimum from objective/familiar sources (letters don't need to be professors).
UCSF	Three required-two from professor/instructor and one from personal source.
University at Buffalo	One pre-health committee letter or three science professor letters.
University of Alabama at Birmingham	Two letters are required or a letter from predental advisor committee.
University of Colorado at Denver HSC	Two letters from science professor and one from non-science professor. Letter from predental committee is recommended*.
University of Connecticut	Three letters from faculty. Letters from predental committee is desired*.
University of Detroit Mercy	One letter from pre-dental advisor committee or two from science professor and one from dentist.
University of Florida	Three required non-specified (recommended two science professor and one dentist).
University of Illinois at Chicago	The College requires three letters of recommendation. One committee letter of recommendation will satisfy the three-letter requirement. We strongly recommend submitting at least one, preferably two, academic references, with at least one from a science professor. We do accept letters of recommendation for teaching assistants.
University of Iowa	One from health committee or three letters.
University of Kentucky	Three required (faculty, dentist, familiar source).
University of Louisville	Two from science professors and one personal reference.
University of Maryland	strong preference for package from pre-dental committee or one letter from a biology and chemistry professor is needed.

University of Michigan	Two from science professor in different disciplines and one from a dentist or non-science professor or pre-dental advisor.
University of Minnesota	Two from science professors and one from employer.
University of Mississippi	Pre-dental advisor letter and letters from professor*.
University of Missouri-Kansas City	Three required-one from pre-dental advisor and at least one from major science professor.
University of Nebraska Medical Center	None required but one from pre-dental advisor is appreciated.
University of Nevada, Las Vegas	One letter from dentist and one from pre-dental advisory committee.
University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill	Three letters-one from science professor, one from professor in major, one from dentist.
University of Oklahoma	One from pre-health committee or (two from science professor) and one dentist.
University of Pennsylvania	Two professors or one committee letter from advisor.
University of Pittsburgh	Three science professor or one committee letter from advisor.
University of Tennessee	Not mandatory but accepted and reviewed.
University of Texas	Required recommendation from health committee and subsequent science letters*.
University of the Pacific	Three required-one from predental committee/two from upper division science professors. Additional letters of personal character may be submitted.

Virginia Commonwealth	Three science and one dentist.
West Viriginia University	One committee or one from bio, chem, and physics, or one from science and two from major.
