Health Profession Association

The Health Profession Association is here at UCSB to ensure that those seeking a career in the health professions will have all the resources to reach their goals. We have regular meetings throughout the quarter, inviting a wide range of speakers ranging from medical school admission officers, to practicing health professionals, to internship opportunities. Coming in January we have our Health Conference event at which speakers in almost every medical field will come and share about what exactly they do. Membership is open to everyone. Please seek us out and use all of our resources available to you.

UCSB Global Medical Brigades (GMB)

Global Medical Brigades is a secular, international student-run volunteer organization whose mission is to provide sustained health care to undeserved communities in rural Honduras. Our UCSB team recruits student volunteers and medical professionals, secures medical supplies, and travels to Honduras for a week-long brigade. The group functions like a mobile medical unit, setting up small clinics to diagnose and treat patients at no cost. This is an amazing opportunity to get hands-on experience in the international health care industry. Information sessions and application process occurs during Fall Quarter.
